I'm the mother of four children and two grandchildren. I live in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan on the L'Anse Indian Reservation. I am both Anishinaabe (Ojibwe) and Lakota Sioux. My love of reading began at a young age. I began writing stories for my children when they were small and continue to write today for my grandchildren and future generations.

I have painted using acrylics since I was a young girl and have been learning Anishinaabemong (Ojibwe) through the University of Wisconsin. My business, 8th Fire Consulting, LLC published the book, Garden Party.
